About FPS 1992

The firefighters’ pension scheme 1992 was closed to new members in April 2006. 

You may have benefits in the firefighters’ pension scheme 1992 if you were a wholetime firefighter before 6 April 2006 and:

• Left employment so now have a deferred firefighters’ pension scheme 1992 pension only.
• Moved to the firefighters’ pension scheme 2015 and have benefits in both the firefighters’ pension scheme 1992 and firefighters’ pension scheme 2015.
